It is my passion to support humans in building a deeper relationship with their body. I’ve spent the last two decades studying psychology, trauma, human development and holistic healing practices. I understand the many reasons why someone might abandon themselves and have nothing but compassion for those struggling to make sense of their unique bodily journey. I’ve devoted my life’s work to educating and offering profound, life changing experiences with a focus on integration and wholeness.

My healing journey began at the age of twenty when I received my first massage. I honestly don’t remember having truly felt my body prior to that experience. It was enlightening and transformative. At the age of twenty-five my inner knowing understood there was more for me to experience in this life and I was guided to spend two years in Africa strengthening my roots to my ancestors. My spirituality exponentially deepened and I was shown clarity about my life purpose.

Upon my return I began my studies in Massage Therapy at National Holistic Institute in Northern California. I instantly fell in love with offering healing touch to countless human beings. The experience shed light on just how much we hold in our bodies. I started to become curious about the pain people physically felt and how that might be directly related to unresolved trauma and unintegrated life experiences. I decided to study Somatic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

I learned that when emotions go unexpressed they get stored in our bodies waiting to be released. Over time these repressed emotions build up and create dis-ease, manifesting in a myriad of ways. Knowing that holistic practices like massage, meditation, movement and dance were potent ways to transmute this energy, I decided to open my private practice in a dance studio. I wanted to offer my clients a different experience from the traditional ‘talk’ therapy practices.

It lit me up to see how liberated my clients felt when they had the option to move while they shared and processed their stories. I was honored to witness pathways toward authentic expression unfold while trauma dislodged and released from the body. I instantly knew this would be how I wanted to share my work.

My somatic therapy practice is imbued with my studies in child development, massage therapy, somatic psychology and yoga. It’s my deep love for humans and their wise bodies that guides my practice today.
